For the fourth year in a row, Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people, planet and business health, has been recognized as a Top 50 Company for Diversity by DiversityInc, a leading diversity publication. Ecolab ranked 25th on DiversityInc’s 2023 list, which assesses diversity management in corporate America.

"At Ecolab, we strongly believe that fostering a culture of belonging and embracing diverse perspectives is essential for our continued growth and success," said Christophe Beck, Chairman and CEO of Ecolab. "We are unwavering in our commitment to doing what is right, fair, and honest, and deeply invested in the safety and well-being of our employees, company, and customers. We're honored to be recognized by DiversityInc for our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and remain focused in our commitment to promoting diversity and equity both within our company and in the communities where we operate."

Since 2001, The DiversityInc Top 50 survey has been the external validator for large U.S. employers that model fairness in their talent strategy, workplace and supplier diversity practices, and philanthropic engagement.

One hundred and fifty-seven employers, with roughly 8.3 million U.S. employees, submitted data based on overall company performance in six key areas of diversity and inclusion management: leadership accountability, human capital diversity metrics, talent programs, workplace practices, supplier diversity and philanthropy. To be considered for inclusion on the Top 50 list, a company must score above average in all six areas.

“With a 23% increase in overall participation and a 32% increase within the healthcare sector, these rankings are based on employer-submitted data about their organizational policies, practices, and procedures, not on employee sentiment or scraped from sources that cannot be validated,” said Carolynn Johnson, CEO of DiversityInc. “Further, with a required C-suite attestation that all data submitted is valid, these rankings also represent evidence-based, superior human capital outcomes, only achieved by data transparency and an unwavering commitment to workplace fairness for everyone.”

Ecolab ranked #31 on DiversityInc’s Top 50 list in 2022, #34 in 2021 and #39 in 2020.
