We are committed to safety excellence.

At Ecolab, the safety of our employees, contractors and visitors is a top priority and embedded into our company values. We strive for zero incidents, zero injuries and zero violations. This represents a collective Goal Zero mindset which each employee must commit to own and deliver every day. Year-on-year, we also strive to incrementally improve safety at all our sites to protect employees and communities.

Safety On the Road

Keeping our associates safe when they are on the road is one of our top priorities. Ecolab’s more than 26,000 sales-and-service associates regularly drive to and from customer locations. Continuous driver safety training is key to achieving our safety goal and part of our commitment to do all we can to improve driving behaviors and keep our teams safe behind the wheel.

Our focus on innovation and technology has helped us improve driver behavior and enhance driver safety. As a result, we have reduced our total vehicle accident rate by XX% per million miles driven since 20XX. Our severe vehicle accident rate remains lower than the benchmark, at X.XX per one million miles driven.

Safety Through Training

Divisional safety onboarding processes are designed to provide newly hired sales-and-service personnel with basic safety training. In 2024, 93% of new hires completed required safety training within their first 30 days of employment.

In 2024, our global total recordable incident rate decreased by 12%* year-over-year, and our lost-time incident rate slightly increased by 2%** year-over-year in North America.
