Ecolab's Culture of Inclusion and Belonging Earns Top Marks
Ecolab has been named on Fair360’s Top 50 Companies list for its ongoing commitment to workplace fairness.
For the fifth year in a row, Ecolab Inc., a global sustainability leader offering water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and the resources vital to life, has been recognized on the Top 50 Companies list for its ongoing commitment to workplace fairness by Fair360. Formerly known as DiversityInc, Fair360 leverages comparative human capital data to help organizations develop fair and inclusive workplaces.
“At Ecolab our purpose is protecting people and the resources vital to life. For us to achieve business success, we rely on the collective effort of a team that feels empowered to contribute to our organization,” said Chairman and CEO Christophe Beck. “That is why fostering a culture of belonging through diversity and inclusion is critical to our business. I’m proud of the progress we continue towards the workplace we want to be.”
Ecolab aspires to build a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate and the customers we serve; and we work to ensure our programs, recruitment and talent development initiatives align with this ambition.
In 2023, Ecolab launched the Commercial Talent Academy, aiming to grow a diverse range of talent for commercial leadership roles and established Engagement and Inclusion teams in U.S.-based manufacturing facilities. These employee-driven teams, led by member representatives, encourage learning, celebrate culture and promote activities to enhance interpersonal understanding and inclusion
Additionally, Ecolab has reinforced its commitment to an inclusive workplace, empowering its 48,000 associates with development opportunities and expanding its 11 employee resource groups by 15%.
“We know that diversity and inclusion are vital to our long-term growth and success,” said Dexter Davis, senior vice president, Human Resources, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. “We believe that the best and highest-performing teams – those able to solve the most complex and difficult challenges we face as global citizens – are as diverse as the communities and environments we live and operate in.”
The Fair360 Top 50 survey has been the external validator for large U.S. employers that model fairness in their talent strategies, workplace and supplier diversity practices and philanthropic engagement since 2001.
This year, 160 employers, with roughly 7.3 million U.S. employees, submitted data and metrics on leadership accountability, human capital diversity, talent programs, workplace practices, supplier diversity and philanthropy.
