Alert: Secret Shopper Scam in the U.S. Using Ecolab Name

Ecolab has alerted authorities about a scam occurring in the U.S. using fraudulent checks that appear to come from Ecolab.

Several people have reported receiving a letter stating that they have been selected to participate in a paid consumer research program as a secret shopper that includes a fraudulent check using the Ecolab name. The recipient is asked to purchase gift cards and then provide the gift card and pin numbers to the program coordinator. 

This is a scam. Ecolab does not participate in secret shopper programs. If you receive one of these letters, do not respond or follow its instructions. Report it to U.S. Postal Inspectors online or by calling 1-877-876-2455.
